Transport & Pre-alerts

Getting a patient from the street into a hospital bed, and telling the hospital you are on the way.

🛣️ The transport chain

Patient on the ground
→ Stretcher (or carry / drag)
→ Into the back of the ambulance
   → Drive to the hospital
→ Out at the Ambulance Bay
   → Stretcher to a bed (auto-snaps within 2 m)

Every ambulance model has a configured stretcher position in the back, and a patient monitor so you can watch their vitals on the way.

📢 Pre-alerting a hospital

Tell a hospital you are bringing someone in, before you arrive.

How to send one:

  • EMS Tablet → Nearby patients → Pre-alert
  • EMS Tablet → Hospital page
  • Radial menu → EMS → Pre-alert

What it does

The moment you send it, the hospital's board TV shows:

  • the patient,
  • the unit bringing them,
  • a live ETA calculated from your actual speed and distance.
Hospital board with incoming

This is the roleplay glue between field medics and hospital staff. A doctor watching the board can have a bed ready, the surgery table prepped and blood pulled from the fridge before the ambulance arrives.

Rules

Expires after15 minutes
Clears whenYou arrive within 35 m of the hospital
ETA fallback speed22 m/s when you are stationary

AI callout transports create a pre-alert automatically, you do not have to remember.

Air Ambulance (polmav)2Has a stretcher position and monitor
Rescue Dinghy1Water rescues

All four have stretcher positions configured. See Garage & Vehicles.

🏥 The Ambulance Bay

Each hospital has a drop-off point. It is where the board expects your ambulance to arrive, and it is what closes an active pre-alert.

🛗 Elevators

Hospitals built across several floors have elevator points with one stop per floor. Walk in, choose a floor.

Set up in the hospital creator.

🛏️ Hospital beds

Placing a patient in a bed:

  • Puts them into a proper lying animation on the bed.
  • Shows them on the hospital board's bed board.
  • Lets any bedside monitor next to that bed pick them up.

Drop a stretcher within 2 m of a free bed and the transfer happens automatically.
