Creating Property

New properties are created with an in-world wizard, launched from the radial menu. Who may create depends on the mode.

ModeWho can createRequirement
ClassicA realtor job memberJob listed in Config.Classic.Jobs, at the required grade
BlockA company builderCompany with an active licence, standing on a block the company owns, with the BUILD_PROPERTY permission

Launching the wizard

  1. Stand where the entrance door should be (Block mode: on your block).
  2. Open the radial → Property → Create Property.

The radial only shows Create Property when you're actually allowed to build where you're standing, so if it's missing, check your job/grade (Classic) or company licence/ownership/permission (Block).

Wizard steps

The creation wizard (PropertyDraft) walks through:

  1. Interior kind & shell/interior: choose a shell, IPL interior, or walk-in (MLO). Availability is gated by mode (Config.Classic.AllowShells/AllowIpl/AllowWalkIn) and block (allow_ipl).
  2. Location: set the entrance point (and heading). For walk-ins, also draw the yard zone and pick the door entities ("Doors (recommended)").
  3. Details: label, unit number, and listing (For Sale / For Rent / none).
  4. Pricing: sale price and/or rent, deposit.
  5. Fit-out caps: stash slots/weight/pieces, wardrobe slots, garage slots, cameras, motion sensors, alarm tier max, door reinforce max. Blank fields inherit the block's caps (or Config.Stash.GlobalCap).

The server re-validates everything on submit (admin:createProperty) and clamps caps to the allowed ceiling.

Who pays the construction cost?

Creating a unit can bill a construction cost (the interior's build cost):

  • Block mode: the company treasury is always billed.
  • Classic mode: billed to the job society only when Config.Classic.ChargeConstruction = true; otherwise state stock is filed free.

Allotment (copy limits)

Each shell/interior has an allotment, the number of copies that may exist.

  • Classic: Config.Classic.Allotment (global), overridable per interior in the Job Hub → Starters & Allotments.
  • Block: set per block in the block editor.
  • Absolute ceiling: Config.MaxAllotment (500).

Buildings

If your new unit's entrance sits at the same door (within 10 cm) as existing units, it's automatically grouped into a building. No manual key. See Buildings & Multi-Unit Entrances.

After creation

  • The property appears in the Admin Registry and, if listed, on the public Listings/Market.
  • Manage it from the tablet (My Properties / Company / Job Hub) or at the door ([M] Manage).
  • Retrofit doors any time via radial → Property → Set Doors (walk-ins).
