Radar & LIDAR
This module allows traffic officers to monitor speed readings, catch speeders, and issue citations.
1. Handheld LIDAR Speed Gun
- Visual Rangefinder: Use the
lidaritem to pull out a speedgun. Aiming down the scope measures the distance and speed of target vehicles in real-time. - Own Model: The job streams its own LIDAR gun (
kpj_lidar), so no extra prop is needed. Its screen on the back mirrors the readout live: scanning, speed, distance, direction and plate, and it turns red when a speed is locked. - Audible Warnings: Emits a pitch-altering sound when a vehicle exceeds the configured speed limit.
2. In-Car Dashboard Radar
- Dual-Antenna Radar: Automatically scans oncoming and front-facing traffic lanes from inside your police cruiser.
- Peak Speed Lock: Locks and highlights the fastest vehicle speed reading until cleared.
How to Use In-Game
Operating the Handheld LIDAR:
- Equip the
lidarspeed gun item from your inventory. - Hold Right-Click to aim through the scope.
- Target any oncoming or fleeing vehicle. The HUD on the gun screen will show:
- Current Target Speed (in MPH/KMH).
- Target Distance.
- Issue Citation: If a vehicle is speeding, press E to flag the plate, then use the MDT or
/fineto issue a citation ticket.
Operating In-Car Radar:
- Toggle Radar: Use the
/radarcommand (default keybind I) while seated in a police cruiser to toggle the radar dashboard. - Radar & HUD Layout: Use the
/policehudlayoutor/radarlayoutcommand to toggle HUD layout editing, allowing you to drag and reposition the radar or other police HUD panels on your screen. - Set Fast-Lock Limit: Use the
/setradarlimit <speed>command (e.g.,/setradarlimit 80) to change the speed threshold for fast-lock warnings.
Pursuit Mode
The Pursuit Mode system allows authorized emergency vehicle drivers to toggle high-performance engine stages (e.g. A, S, S+). Toggling cycles through the configured stages to assist in high-speed pursuits.
Restraints & Compliance
This module handles physical control over suspects, featuring realistic handcuffs, zipties, escorts, player compliance anims, and physical tackle mechanics.
