Pursuit Mode

The Pursuit Mode system allows authorized emergency vehicle drivers to toggle high-performance engine stages (e.g. A, S, S+). Toggling cycles through the configured stages to assist in high-speed pursuits.

⚙️ Features

  • Performance Tuning Stages: Modifies the vehicle's engine multipliers and handling floats (fInitialDriveForce, fDriveInertia, fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel) to boost acceleration and top speed per stage.
  • Stage Cycling: Pressing the keybind or radial option cycles through: Disabled ➔ Class A ➔ Class S ➔ Class S+ ➔ Disabled.
  • Dynamic Keybind / Command: Default keybind (I) or command (/pursuitmode) registers to allow instant stage shifting.
  • Radial Menu Toggle: Integrates directly into the Police radial submenu when the driver is inside an emergency vehicle.
  • Safety Auto-Deactivation: Deactivates automatically if the player exits the driver's seat, dies, or switches departments.
  • Sound Effects: Plays distinct activation and deactivation sound cues.
  • Cooldown: Prevents rapid mode-switching spam.

🛠️ Configuration

All settings and stages are configured in shared/config_pursuit.lua.

🎮 Usage

  1. Enter an authorized emergency vehicle as the driver.
  2. Press the configured keybind (CAPSLOCK by default, can be mapped in settings) or open the radial menu (Police -> Pursuit Mode).
  3. Notifications will inform you of the active stage (e.g. Class A, Class S, Class S+, or DISABLED).
  4. Toggle again to shift to the next stage or exit the vehicle to automatically disable it.
