Megaphone & Shield
This module covers field tactical accessories, including the hand-held Megaphone and the physical Ballistic Shield.
1. Megaphone & PA System
- Voice Amplification: Using the Megaphone amplifies your voice range on sub-mix audio systems (like PMA Voice or Mumble) so players further away can hear your orders.
- Presets: Includes an interactive menu with quick-chat pre-recorded announcements (e.g. "Pull over!", "Get on the ground!").
- Cruiser PA System: Mounts a public address system in cruisers, allowing the driver to broadcast voice using the vehicle's amplifier.
2. Ballistic Shield
- Physical Cover: Equips a heavy breaching shield (
ballistic_shielditem) in the officer's left hand. - Bullet Deflection: Blocks oncoming bullets from pistols, submachine guns, and shotguns, keeping the officer protected during breaches.
- Pistol Stance: Allows the officer to fire their service pistol around the shield side.
How to Use In-Game
Using the Megaphone:
- Use the
megaphoneitem in your inventory, or type/painside a patrol vehicle. - Select a preset announcement to broadcast it, or hold your voice key to speak to a wider radius.
Equipping the Ballistic Shield:
- Use the
ballistic_shielditem from your inventory. - The shield will attach to your ped's arm. You will walk in a defensive posture.
- Draw a pistol to aim and fire while keeping the shield up.
- Use the item again to stow the shield.
K9 Unit
The K9 Unit is a comprehensive tactical companion system allowing K9 certified officers to summon, command, and utilize police dogs for tracking, searches, and physical apprehensions.
Metal Detectors
To secure police stations, courtrooms, and search checkpoints, this module handles scanning individuals for metal objects, weapons, and blades.
