Teams & Command
Teams
On the tablet Teams page, create a team with a callsign (Engine, Ladder, Rescue, Squad, Tanker, Brush, Hazmat, Battalion + a number), up to 6 members (Config.Teams).
- Members join and leave. The leader promotes and kicks.
- The leader sends the team to a call: everyone gets the pager and a waypoint.
- Team pings: need water, need backup, need EMS, fire knocked down, all clear, evacuating.

BA board
The Teams page lists everyone breathing from a bottle, lowest air first, with air left, time on air and low / critical alarms (Config.Teams.baBoard).
Mayday
Press Mayday on the tablet or your panic button key (bind it in Key Bindings). Every firefighter is alerted with your position.
To share where you are without an alarm, use the location ping (tablet or its key): everyone on duty gets a blip on you for 90 seconds (Config.Alerts).
- A geared firefighter who goes down on the fireground sends one automatically (
Config.Teams.autoMayday). - The PASS device sends one when you lie still on air.
- Every mayday also goes on Kartik MDT as a critical call for fire, EMS and police (
Config.Teams.maydayMdt). Help given clears it.
PAR checks
A team leader runs a PAR check (personnel accountability) from the Teams page. Every member answers with Y within 30 seconds. Anyone who doesn't is flagged and their last position is marked for the leader (Config.Accountability).
Incident command
The first officer on a call takes command from the Calls page (within 400 m) and gives each responding team a role: attack, search & rescue, water supply, ventilation, medical, RIT, exposure or hazmat. The role shows on the team's call tracker and on the Kartik MDT call (Config.Command).
The commander also gets:
- A timeline of the call: objectives, command, roles, maydays, evidence, handovers.
- Situation reports sent to everyone on the call.
- A live list of who and what is on scene, with air and tank levels.
- Next alarm: call more crews.
Requests
The commander (and team leaders) send requests through the call. Police and EMS get their own MDT call that names the fire call (Config.Command.requests):
| Request | Goes to |
|---|---|
| Traffic control | Police |
| Scene security | Police |
| EMS | Ambulance |
| Crew rehab | Ambulance |
| More fire units | Next alarm, or pages everyone at the top alarm |
| Utility company | Police (cut power or gas) |
Crash calls open a police traffic call on their own (Config.Missions.police.trafficOnCrash).
