Patients
Everyone brought out of a call has a condition (Config.Patients). Target them → Treat → Assess first to find out what's wrong, then work through the steps in order. A med bag or oxygen is placed next to the patient while you work.
Conditions
| Condition | Treatment |
|---|---|
| Conscious, able to walk | Guide them out, no carrying |
| Smoke inhalation | Oxygen |
| Burns | Cool the burns with water → burns dressing (burn_dressing) |
| Trauma injuries | Cervical collar → spinal board |
| Crush injury, bleeding | Control the bleeding → splint → collar |
| Fractured leg | Splint the limb |
| Unconscious | Open the airway → ventilate with the BVM |
| Cardiac arrest | CPR → BVM. They die if CPR doesn't start in time |
- CPR: press SPACE on the beat (30 compressions at 110 bpm).
- BVM: squeeze, then let go in the green zone.
- Collar, spinal board, bleeding and splint are hands-on minigames.
- Assess before you lift. Picking up a trauma or crush casualty before the collar and spinal board are on moves the injured spine: they cry out, and the time they have left drops by 40% (
Config.FireBehaviour.spine). Smoke and burns casualties can be carried straight out.
Handing over
When every step is done the patient is handed over:
- No medics on duty: an NPC ambulance drives to the scene, the crew loads the patient and leaves (
Config.AutoAmbulance). Uses the medic count from kartik-ambulancejob when it runs. - Medics on duty: EMS gets an MDT call when a patient is brought out. A paramedic targets the patient → Take over patient (
Config.Handover). The patient goes into the medic's ambulance if it's close and counts as cared for, even if the crew hadn't finished.
The paramedic gets a handover sheet (condition, injuries, what the crew did):
- with kartik-ambulancejob:
exports['kartik-ambulancejob']:ReceiveFirePatient(src, sheet)when that export exists - always: the
kartik-firefighterjob:patientHandoverserver event
