Helping Others
You do not have to be a medic to save someone's life. Civilians have a real, limited role.
🫀 CPR
Anyone can perform CPR on a downed or dead player. Target them and choose CPR.
It is a rhythm minigame, keep the beat for one 12-second cycle.

What a successful cycle does
| Buys time | Adds 45 seconds to their bleed-out / brain timer (once per minute) |
| Can restart the heart | 35% chance to convert a flatline into a rhythm a defibrillator can actually shock |
| Can revive them outright | 8% chance for a civilian to bring a dead patient back to last stand with CPR alone |
Even when CPR does not revive anyone, it is the single most useful thing a bystander can do. Buying a medic an extra 45 seconds is often the difference between a save and a body bag.
You cannot do CPR with a broken arm.
Server owners can restrict CPR to medics only.
A collapsed lung, blood around the heart or a blocked airway stops CPR, and a first aid kit, from bringing anyone back. CPR still buys time until a medic fixes the cause.
Checking for a pulse
Target a downed player and choose Check Pulse. You feel for it yourself: press on the neck until you find the beat, then tap along with it, or press N if there is nothing. See Hands-on Checks.
🧰 First aid kits
The first_aid_kit item helps a downed player back to their feet. Takes 10 seconds.
It only works once the bleeding is controlled. You cannot first-aid-kit someone who is bleeding out, stop the bleeding first, or get a medic.
Sold at any pharmacy for $250.
🩹 Basic supplies on yourself
A handful of items are marked self-use, you can apply them to your own body without a medic:
| Item | For |
|---|---|
bandage | Minor bleeding |
ice_pack | Bruising and pain |
antibiotic_cream | A mild wound infection |
paracetamol, ibuprofen, tramadol, vicodin | Pain and fever |
antibiotics, antiviral, antihistamine, cough_syrup | Illness |
antiemetic | Nausea |
anxiolytic | Panic |
glucose_gel, insulin | Blood sugar |
electrolytes | Dehydration |
melatonin | Sleep |
thermal_blanket | Cold |
naloxone | An opioid overdose, your own |
epinephrine | An allergic reaction |
Naloxone and epinephrine being self-usable is deliberate. A drug user can carry their own Narcan, and someone with a known allergy can carry their own EpiPen.
🔍 Checking someone's injuries
Target any player and choose Check injuries.
- A conscious player has to accept.
- A downed or dead player can be checked without asking.
You see their visible injuries only, bleeding, obvious wounds, burns, obvious deformities. Not internal bleeding, not illness, not vitals.
Useful for police, and for telling a medic on the radio what they are walking into.

⚰️ Body bags
Police can also use body bags (this can be turned off). A body must have been dead for at least 60 seconds before it can be bagged.
Delivering a bagged body to a morgue pays $250.
🚫 What civilians cannot do
| Treat wounds on another player | Medics only |
| Splint, cast or suture | Medics only |
| Use diagnostic tools on others | Medics only |
| Use a defibrillator | Medics only |
| Anything in a hospital, X-ray, lab, surgery | Medics only |

Physiotherapy
On crutches or in a cast and tired of waiting? The hospital physiotherapist can get you back on your feet early, if you put the work in.
For Medics
Everything a medic does. The job is designed so a brand new paramedic can be useful in five minutes, and a veteran doctor still has things to learn after a month.
