Job Fleet & Category Management

Garages V2 provides dedicated job garage management for police, ambulance, mechanic, taxi, and custom job roles. Everything is managed in-game from the admin panel: no commands, no config edits, no restarts.

๐ŸŒŸ Overview & Highlights

Job Garages allow server departments to share job vehicles, restrict vehicles by rank/grade, categorize vehicles into custom tabs (e.g. Patrol, K9, Air Support, High Speed Interceptor), and spawn them pre-configured with department liveries and upgrades.

There are two kinds of job vehicle:

Spawn ListOwned Fleet

Saved to the databaseNo, a fresh vehicle every timeYes, like a personal vehicle
Keeps damage, fuel & modsNo, always spawns with the preset lookYes, exactly as it was parked

Pick a job at the top. The count next to each job is how many spawnable vehicles it has. A warning appears if the job has no job garage yet, as nobody could take its vehicles out.

Spawn List

Click Add Vehicle (or the pencil on an existing one) to set:

  • Spawn name & display name: e.g. police3 shown as Police Interceptor.
  • Category tab: groups the vehicle under a tab in the garage (e.g. Patrol, Interceptor).
  • Minimum grade: picked from the job's real ranks. 3+ ยท Sergeant means grade 3 and above.
  • Livery: leave blank for the vehicle's default.
  • Extras: the extras switched on when it spawns.
  • Performance upgrades: max engine, brakes, transmission, suspension and turbo.

Copy from the vehicle I'm sitting in fills in the model, livery and extras from your current vehicle, and shows which extras and how many liveries it has. The spawn name is taken from your framework's shared vehicle list. If the vehicle is not in that list and its spawn name cannot be confirmed (common for addon vehicles with names longer than 11 characters), the model field stays empty so you can type it.

Changes apply immediately. The server checks every spawn against this list, the player's grade and the garage, so a modified client cannot spawn anything that is not on it.

Owned Vehicles

  • Add the vehicle I'm sitting in: saves your current vehicle to the job's fleet, with its exact mods, in the job garage you choose.
    • If the plate is already in the database (for example a car someone owns personally), that vehicle is handed over to the job and moved to the chosen garage (or the job's default garage). No second copy is created, and the plate stays the same.
    • A new vehicle needs a confirmed spawn name. If the model is not in your framework's shared vehicle list (qbx_core / qb-core vehicles) and its spawn name cannot be confirmed, it is not added and you get a message. Add the model to the shared vehicle list and try again.
  • The job's owned vehicles are listed below, where you can move a stored vehicle between the job's garages or delete it.
  • Limiting a vehicle to certain grades: put it in an access group from the job garage. A job vehicle in a group is only for that group's members. See Access Groups โ†’ Job Vehicles.

Registered Keeper

QB/Qbox require a real Citizen ID in every vehicle's owner column. For job vehicles that ID is the registered keeper. It gives the keeper no access of their own; the job decides who can use the vehicle. Set it to a dedicated character (e.g. an "LSPD Fleet" citizen) so job vehicles are not filed under a staff member. The ID is checked when saved. Clear it to require dealerships to name a buyer.

๐Ÿš“ In the Job Garage

  • Job Vehicles button in the garage window opens the spawn list, with the category tabs across the top. Members only see vehicles at or below their grade.
  • Fleet button (boss only, or any member with bossOnlyManage = false) opens the owned-fleet list for moving or deleting the job's vehicles.
  • Owned fleet vehicles appear in the normal vehicle list of the job garage they are stored in.

Upgrading from a version that used Config.JobVehicles? The list is imported into the Spawn List automatically on first start. Old exact-grade lists (grades = { 2, 3, 4 }) become their lowest grade as the minimum (2+).

See Job Owned Vehicles for how ownership is stored and how to sell vehicles to a job from a dealership.
