Pursuits
A pursuit starts when a driver refuses to stop at a traffic stop, or when a callout suspect takes off in a vehicle.
During a pursuit
- A banner shows Pursuit in progress with the suspect vehicle, its plate, the distance to it and how long the chase has run.
- A Vehicle Pursuit dispatch call is created and follows your position every 5 seconds, so other officers can join.
- Your MDT status is set to
busy. - Pursuit backup opens on the tablet's Backup page.
How it ends
| Ending | When |
|---|---|
| Bail-out | A stuck or slow driver may get out and run on foot (25% per check) |
| Surrender | A cornered suspect on foot may give up (12% per check), or once wounded |
| Arrest | You catch them, cuff them and arrest them |
| Lost | They get more than 650 m away for 30 seconds |
| Called off | You press Call off pursuit on the tablet |
Suspects who escape are not chased by AI units afterwards.
Pursuit backup
