FAQ

The tablet needs a job listed in Config.Services (or an active shift). Check your job name matches one of the jobs lists exactly. Also check CanOpenTablet() in client/open/functions.lua if you changed it.

That is the default with Kartik MDT V2 running: the tablet is the ERS app inside the MDT. Set Config.TabletMode = 'ers' to always use the built-in tablet, or Config.MdtTablet = false to remove the app from the MDT.

• Check the Callout offers switch on the tablet's Shift page.
• Turn off MDT Do Not Disturb, or set muteOffersOnDND = false.
• You only get offers while free: finish or clear your current callout, traffic stop or pursuit.
• If you are on an NPC call from kartik-ambulancejob or kartik-firefighterjob, finish it first.
• Press Request callout to get one straight away.

You must be in an emergency class vehicle with your lights on, and the vehicle must be within 25 m ahead of you. See Config.Traffic to relax these rules.

Your server's entity blacklist or anti-cheat is deleting the ped or vehicle models. ERS uses csb_cop for officers for this reason. Allow the models in Config.Backup, or change them to models your server allows.

Stand close to the target when you request it: within 40 m of the patient for an ambulance, 60 m of the fire for a fire engine, 25 m of an empty vehicle for a tow truck and 30 m of an arrested suspect for prisoner transport.

Records are pushed to Kartik MDT V2 when Config.Records.pushToMDT = true. Start kartik-mdt before kartik-ers in server.cfg. Other MDTs aren't supported yet. Records still appear on the ERS tablet's Records page.

Assist requests only go to player units on an ERS shift for that service, who are free and within 3 km (Config.JointCallouts.offerRadius). Without any, the scene works solo: request AI backup.

Check Config.Rewards.enabled and the account. Rewards are paid from server/open/hooks.lua through your framework's add money function.

Add setr ox:locale "en" (or your language code) to server.cfg. Copy locales/en.json to a new file for your language and translate it.

Add enabled = false (or weight = 0) to its entry in Config.Callouts.list.
