Callouts
There are 42 callouts across the four services. Each one is a scenario with tasks on the HUD, NPCs with their own records, and more than one way to end. Joint callouts (marked ๐ค) bring in another service, see Joint Callouts.
How a callout runs
- Offer: the callout's label, code, address and distance. Accept with Y.
- Respond: a route is set and the dispatch call is created in the MDT, with you attached. The callout is placed 350 to 1100 m away.
- Scene: it spawns when you are 160 m away. You are on scene at 45 m.
- Tasks: the HUD checklist ticks as you go. Optional tasks are greyed out. The callout completes when every required task is done.
- End: completed, failed (for example the suspect got away or the patient died) or abandoned (you cleared it from the tablet). The dispatch call is cleared.
Press Clear callout on the tablet to drop a callout you can't finish.

Scene actions
Many scenes have a press E here step with a progress bar, or a choice menu:
- Shut off a gas valve, cut a door with hydraulic tools, pull someone to safety, clear debris.
- Inspect a car for damage, examine debris, review phone footage, check a dashcam.
- Triage a patient, read a placard and deal with a leak, hit the fuel cut-off, crib and lift a vehicle.
- Negotiate, talk someone down, calm a person, turn the music off.
- Place cones, clear cargo, winch a vehicle upright.

Shifts
Every unit works one of four services: Police, EMS, Fire or Tow. Each service is linked to framework jobs in Config.Services, so a police officer can only start a Police shift.
Joint Callouts
Big scenes need more than one service. A joint callout starts with one unit, and when that unit arrives on scene, ERS calls in real player units from the other services.
