Getting Started
This page takes you from a fresh install to a working gang whose leader has a tablet in hand.
1. Open the admin panel
Type /gangadmin in game. You need admin access (see Installation).
Staff create gangs here. Players can also apply for their own gang with /creategang, which an admin then approves. See Gang Registration.
2. Create a gang
Go to Gangs → Create gang and fill in the three sections.
Identity
- Name: 2 to 32 characters, and it must be unique.
- Colour: used on the map, HUD and tablet.
- Logo: a direct image link (png / webp). Leave it empty to show the gang's initials instead.
- Boss rank label: what the leader rank is called, for example "Boss", "OG" or "Shot Caller".
Leader (optional)
Pick an online player, or search offline characters. The leader gets the top rank and is removed from any gang they were in before.
Headquarters
Choose how the gang's hideout works:

| IPL interior | A GTA interior. Members walk into the entrance and are taken into their gang's own private copy. |
| Shell | A shell interior spawned privately for the gang. |
| MLO | A custom map building already on your server. Nobody is teleported; everything is placed directly in the world. |
Then set the points:
- Entrance and Garage for every type.
- Desk, Stash and Wardrobe for MLOs as well. IPL and shell interiors bring their own.
Stand where you want a point and press Use my position.
The minimise button releases your mouse so you can walk around. Press Right Shift to bring the panel back.
Press Create and the gang is ready.
3. Add members
Staff can add anyone directly:
- In Admin → Gangs → [gang] → Members, or
- With
/setgangmember [player id or citizen id] [gang id] [rank]. The rank is optional and defaults to the lowest rank.
After that, the gang recruits by itself (see step 5).
4. Hand out the Gang Tablet
Members open the tablet in any of these ways:
- Use the Gang Tablet item.
- Type
/gangtablet. - Press a key, if you set one in the config.
The tablet only opens for gang members, and not while the player is dead, tied or bagged.

If you'd rather let gangs manage from anywhere, turn on ManageFromTablet in shared/core.lua.
5. How a gang recruits
- A member with the Recruit permission opens Members at the desk.
- They pick a nearby player and choose a rank below their own.
- The player gets an invite and has 60 seconds to accept.
An invite fails if the player is already in a gang, already has an invite waiting, or the gang has no free member slots.
