Language

Gangs V2 comes in English. You can translate every notification, menu and message into any language.

✍️ Translating

  1. Open the locales folder in kartik-gangs.
  2. Copy en.json and rename the copy to your language code, for example de.json, fr.json or es.json.
  3. Open the new file and translate the text on the right side of each line:
"not_in_gang": "Du bist in keiner Gang",
  • Only change the text on the right. The name on the left must stay exactly the same.
  • Keep anything like %s or %d. Those get replaced with names, numbers and amounts.
  1. Tell the server which language to use by adding this to server.cfg:
setr ox:locale "de"
  1. Restart the server.

ℹ️ Good to know

  • If a line is missing from your translation, the English text is shown instead.
  • The language setting is shared with other ox_lib scripts on your server.
  • A few labels inside the admin panel are always shown in English.
