Courthouse Security
Bailiffs
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Metal detectors | Walking through one beeps on any weapon or item in Config.Security.flagItems. On-duty staff and police walk through |
| Handheld wand | Beeps on flagged items without saying what they are |
| Pat-down | Shows what the person carries that is flagged |
| Weapon check-in | Weapons are stored at the desk and the citizen gets a claim ticket to collect them |
| Cuff & escort | Kept in state bags, so it works with any police script |
| Holding cells | Put a detainee in a cell; staff are told when someone walks out |
| Seat as defendant | Brings a detainee to the defendant's table of the running session |
| Doors | Lock and unlock by permission (ox_doorlock). Jury room doors lock during deliberation |
| Lockdown | Locks the courthouse and sends police a dispatch call |
Weapon check-in
The desk has two options:
- Check in weapons opens your own locker at that courthouse: put your weapons in it. You also get a
court_claim_ticketfor that courthouse, with a message saying so. If you already hold a ticket for that courthouse, you are told and no second one is given. - Collect weapons takes your ticket back and opens the same locker, so you can take your items out.
The locker belongs to your character, not to the ticket. If you lose the ticket, Collect weapons still opens it.
If no ticket comes, the message says why:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| No room for the claim ticket | Make space in your inventory and open the desk again |
| Claim tickets are not set up on this server | Add court_claim_ticket to your inventory's item list (the snippet is in install/). The server console also prints a warning |
Older versions named the item weapon_claim_ticket. ox_inventory treats any item starting with weapon_ as a weapon, so on ox the ticket was never given and players were told they already held one. Replace it with court_claim_ticket in your item list and copy the new image. Don't give any item in Config.Items a name starting with weapon_.
Police
- Police on duty can put prisoners into the holding cells and take them out (
Config.Security.policeCells). - They are told about signed warrants and restraining orders.
- They get prisoner-transport calls for remanded defendants (Sentencing).
- A detected weapon can alert police when no DOJ security is near (
Config.Dispatch.alerts.detector, off by default).
Dispatch
Lockdown, prisoner transport and metal detector calls go to the first dispatch script found (Config.Dispatch.resource = 'auto'). Without one, on-duty police get a notification and a blip.
