Citizen Services
The kiosk
Every courthouse has a public kiosk (placed in /dojadmin). Citizens use it for:
- Get a lawyer: any available lawyer or one from the directory
- Probation / parole check-in and community service
- Court calendar: public cases with a hearing in the next days, and sessions running now
- My cases: answer plea deals, appeal a verdict
- Post bail for any case (returned after the verdict)
- Appointments & requests
- Permits & forms
- Jury pool: sign up, check in, vote, collect pay
- Bar exam and the bar license
Court mail (summons, hearings, jury, bar and appointments) goes to the phone, and to offline players when they log in (Config.Phone).

Requests land in Services in the tablet. Staff with the matching permission approve them; the fee is charged and paid into the DOJ account. Business licenses can require a business registered in kartik-business.
Form builder & permits
Staff build kiosk forms in the tablet (Permits → Form builder, formsManage): fields, a fee, the permission that approves it and a live preview. Citizens fill them in at the kiosk, and the request lands in Services.
Approving a permit form issues a numbered permit with a printed copy and an expiry. Permits show on the People profile and can be revoked. Event, assembly and filming permits come as defaults.
Other resources check permits with the HasPermit and GetPermits exports.
