Blocks, Districts & Land
Blocks, Districts & Land
Block-mode land pricing and limits live in shared/blocks.lua. This determines
how much land costs, how it's taxed and maintained, and the caps the block
editor enforces. (In Classic mode there are no blocks, see
Operating Modes.)
For the in-world workflow of drawing and buying blocks, see Buying, Selling & Auctions and Admin Registry.
Base land value
Price per m² by block type:
Config.Blocks.PricePerM2 = {
residential = 220,
commercial = 340,
industrial = 160,
luxury = 620,
civic = 120,
}Tiers
A block has a tier (1–5) that scales price, maintenance and tax. The tier can be suggested automatically from the drawn area.
Config.Blocks.TierMultiplier = { 1.0, 1.4, 2.0, 2.9, 4.2 } -- price/maint/tax scaler
Config.Blocks.MaintenanceRate = { 0.004, 0.005, 0.006, 0.007, 0.008 } -- weekly, fraction of price
Config.Blocks.TaxRate = { 0.010, 0.014, 0.018, 0.024, 0.030 } -- per cycle, on assessed value
Config.Blocks.TierFromArea = {
{ max = 400, tier = 1 },
{ max = 900, tier = 2 },
{ max = 2000, tier = 3 },
{ max = 4500, tier = 4 },
{ max = math.huge, tier = 5 },
}Districts
Every district carries a price multiplier and a registry-code prefix
(used to generate human-readable block codes like VH-04).
Config.Blocks.DistrictMultiplier = {
['Vinewood Hills'] = 1.8, ['Rockford Hills'] = 1.7, ['Vinewood'] = 1.4,
['Del Perro'] = 1.3, ['Vespucci'] = 1.25, ['Mirror Park'] = 1.15,
['Downtown'] = 1.2, ['Little Seoul'] = 1.0, ['Strawberry'] = 0.85,
['Davis'] = 0.7, ['Rancho'] = 0.65, ['La Mesa'] = 0.9,
['El Burro'] = 0.7, ['Cypress Flats'] = 0.8, ['Paleto Bay'] = 0.75,
['Sandy Shores'] = 0.55, ['Grapeseed'] = 0.5,
-- unlisted districts default to 1.0
}
Config.DistrictCodes = {
['Vinewood Hills'] = 'VH', ['Rockford Hills'] = 'RH', -- …
}The full district list offered in the creator is in Config.Districts.
Block limits (enforced by the editor & server)
Config.Blocks.MaxConstructionMultiplier = 10.0 -- ceiling on construction cost multiplier
Config.Blocks.MinVertices = 3
Config.Blocks.MaxVertices = 32
Config.Blocks.MinAreaM2 = 25
Config.Blocks.MaxAreaM2 = 50000
Config.Blocks.MaxPropertiesCap = 64 -- absolute ceiling on max_properties per blockPer-block settings (set in the editor, not config)
When drawing a block you also set, per block, values that override the global defaults:
- Allowed features:
allow_iplandallow_security { alarm, reinforce, motion }. - Fit-out caps: stash slots/weight/pieces, wardrobe slots, cameras, motion
sensors, alarm tier max, door reinforce max. Blank inherits
Config.Stash.GlobalCap. - Allotment: how many property copies of each interior may exist.
These live on the block row and cascade down to every property built on it. See Properties & Features for the cap fallbacks.
