Vehicle Conflicts

Conflict Resolver simplifies the task of managing vehicle asset overlaps in your server. If you install custom vehicles, this feature helps you identify and resolve ID clashes automatically from the dashboard.

๐Ÿ”ง Modkit ID Clashes

  • Modkit IDs must be unique across all vehicles to prevent custom customization parts from overlapping or glitching.
  • The dashboard lists conflicting Modkit IDs and lets you resolve them instantly. The tool re-allocates a free ID and updates the corresponding file configurations automatically.
  • Where a kit's name includes its old ID, the name is tidied up to match and everything pointing at it is updated in the same pass.

๐Ÿšจ Siren Setting Conflicts

  • Conflicting lighting setups (Siren Settings) cause vehicle sirens to stop flashing or act buggy in-game.
  • The resolver locates duplicate Siren IDs, assigns a free lighting ID, and updates all matching references in your resource's car and vehicle meta configuration files simultaneously to preserve full functionality.
  • The vehicle that keeps working keeps its own ID, so a siren fix never disturbs the cars that were already fine.

๐Ÿ”— Dangling References

An ID clash is only half the story. The other half is a reference pointing at something that isn't there, and unlike a clash, nothing in the server log will mention it.

These get their own tags on the dashboard:

Kit refs

A vehicle in vehicles.meta naming a modkit that no carcols.meta on the server defines. The vehicle loads, but its customization menu is empty or wrong.

Siren refs

A vehicle pointing at a sirenSettings ID that doesn't exist. The lightbar simply never lights up.

For each one, the tool suggests the most likely thing it was meant to point at, usually an obvious name match, or the only candidate in that resource, so you can fix it in one click instead of digging through config files yourself.

[!NOTE] Base-game parts can't be seen by a folder scan, so the tool only flags a reference when there's real evidence it's broken. That keeps the list short and worth reading, rather than full of false alarms.

๐ŸŽฏ What gets fixed automatically

The Auto-fix modkits and Auto-fix sirens buttons handle the cases that are safe to decide without you:

  • Modkit clashes are re-allocated to free IDs.
  • Siren clashes with a single reference are renumbered and repointed.

Anything with multiple references, or spanning several packs, is left for you to review, it's listed with the candidates ranked, not silently changed.

All of it is backed up first and restorable from the Backups panel.
