Cross-File Map Conflicts
Most map conflicts are easy to spot: two resources ship a file with the same name. The awkward ones don't share a filename at all, two packs decorating the same street, or defining the same object, using files named completely differently.
Nothing looks wrong in the folder listing. The Map conflicts button on the dashboard finds these.
🌫️ Occluder overlaps
Some map files exist purely to tell the game what it can skip drawing, "don't bother rendering what's behind this building". They're invisible, and stacking them is a known way to make things disappear.
When two of these cover the same space, you get the classic symptom: props, walls or whole interiors vanishing from certain angles and popping back when you step sideways.
The tab lists each overlapping pair and the resources involved. Click through to fly there and see the areas drawn in the world, so you can tell which one is the mistake rather than guessing from filenames.
📦 Archetype clashes
Every object in the game has one definition, its model, its size, its collision. Maps just point at that definition by name.
If two resources define the same object, the game keeps one and throws the other away. Every map using that object gets whichever one won, which is how a prop ends up as the wrong model, the wrong size, or with collision that doesn't match what you see.
The tab lists each contested object and the resources defining it. Because the files are named differently, this is a conflict nothing else will warn you about.
🚫 Hidden in game
The last tab lists objects currently being hidden, usually because a map pack asked the game to remove a stock building or prop so it could put its own thing there.
That's normal and useful. It becomes a problem when one pack hides something another pack still needs, leaving a hole in the world that's impossible to trace back to a file. Listing them makes that decision visible.
💡 When to use this
- Things disappearing or flickering depending on where you stand.
- A prop that suddenly has the wrong model or size after installing a pack.
- A building or object missing from the world with no obvious cause.
Prop Placement Conflicts
Two map packs can decorate the same corner of the city without ever sharing a filename. Conflict Resolver catches those too, it looks at the props themselves, not just the files that hold them.
Road & Path Node Conflicts
NPC traffic doesn't drive on the road you see, it follows an invisible road network the map ships separately. Any map pack that changes roads ships its own copy of that network for the area it touches.
