Kartik Scripts

Installation

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

Resource
oxmysqlRequired
RSG: rsg-core and rsg-appearancersg-spawn is optional
VORP: vorp_coreThat's all. This resource replaces vorp_character

The framework is detected automatically (Config.Framework = 'auto'). You can force it with 'rsg' or 'vorp'.

๐Ÿš€ Installing

  1. Drop the kartik-multicharacter folder into your resources.
  2. Do the step for your framework:
    • RSG: remove or stop rsg-multicharacter. See RSG.
    • VORP: remove or stop vorp_character. See VORP.
  3. Start it after oxmysql and your framework in server.cfg:
ensure oxmysql
ensure rsg-core # or vorp_core
ensure rsg-appearance # RSG only
ensure kartik-multicharacter
  1. Restart your server and join. You land on character select.

If the console prints "No framework found", your framework is starting after kartik-multicharacter. Move its ensure line above.

๐Ÿ’พ Database

Nothing to import. These tables are created on the first start:

TableWhat it holds
kartik_multicharacter_slotsExtra slots per player (admin grants and Tebex)
kartik_multicharacter_tebexTebex purchases, redeems and chargebacks
kartik_multicharacter_scenesScenes built in the in-game scene creator

Characters themselves stay in your framework's own tables.

๐Ÿ‘‘ Admin access

The admin panel (/charadmin) and the select screen preview (/charpreview) need the ace set in Config.Admin.ace, which is command by default. txAdmin and server admins already have it.

To give it to a group instead:

add_ace group.admin kartik.multicharacter allow

and set Config.Admin.ace = 'kartik.multicharacter'.

๐Ÿ”‘ Optional: server.cfg

Only needed if you use these features:

set kmc_discord_token "your bot token" # Discord role slots
set sv_tebexSecret "your tebex secret" # Tebex slots

See Discord Roles and Tebex.

โœ… First steps

  1. Join and create a character: registry, intro, creator, spawn picker and arrival.
  2. Open shared/config.lua and set your title, subtitle and logo in Config.UI, and your theme ('frontier' or 'paper').
  3. Pick your scene in Config.Scene, or leave it on 'random'.
  4. Type /charadmin and try the scene creator. See Scene Creator.
  5. Set your slot rules in Config.Slots. See Character Slots.

Put your image in the images/ folder and set Config.UI.logo = 'logo.png', or use a full url. Leave it empty for the built-in emblem. A square transparent PNG around 256x256 works best.
