Scene Recreation
The Scene Recreation module is one of the most advanced technical features of the kartik-evidence suite, allowing for the visual restoration of a past crime scene.
📍 Marker Re-spawning
Physical evidence is often collected and removed quickly. The recreation tool allows you to:
- Toggle Markers: Re-spawn numbered forensic markers (1-9) in the exact 3D coordinates where evidence was originally bagged.
- Labeling: Hovering over a re-spawned marker shows what item was found at that location (e.g., "Marker 1: .45 ACP Casing").
🌌 Virtual Instancing (Bucket System)
To prevent interference from current server activity, the system can utilize a virtual bucket:
- Private View: Investigators and authorized personnel (like Judges or Lawyers) can enter a "Reconstruction Instance."
- Environmental Freeze: In this state, only the evidence from the specific case is visible, removing current vehicles, props, or blood pools that aren't related to the investigation.
⚖️ Use in Court
This tool is designed specifically for high-fidelity courtroom presentations. It provides a visual walk-through that is far more compelling than photos alone, allowing the jury to understand the spatial relationship between different pieces of evidence.
