🎞️ Live Captures
Investigators can use the specialized Forensic Camera item to take high-resolution screenshots in-game.
- Viewfinder UI: A professional camera overlay with grid lines and focus markers.
- Zoom & Focus: Granular controls to capture small details like serial numbers or blood spatter patterns.
- Metadata Tagging: Each photo is automatically tagged with the coordinates and the name of the photographer.
🖼️ Evidence Gallery
All photos taken are stored in the Evidence Gallery within the Forensic Tablet.
- Thumbnails: Quickly browse through scene photos.
- Fullscreen Inspection: Open photos in a high-quality viewer for closer analysis.
- Case Binding: Photos can be "Bound" to a specific Case Report, making them part of the permanent digital record.
📤 Importing Photos
If an officer took photos with a personal device or found them on a suspect's phone, they can be "Imported" into the Forensic Tablet gallery to be used as investigative leads.
Report History
Accountability and the Chain of Custody are paramount in forensic work. The Report History system ensures that every interaction with a case file is documented.
Scene Recreation
The Scene Recreation module is one of the most advanced technical features of the kartik-evidence suite, allowing for the visual restoration of a past crime scene.
