The forensic suite isn't just for investigators; it provides gameplay opportunities for suspects to cover their tracks.
🖐️ Surface Wiping
- Mechanic: Suspects can use a cloth or specialized wipes on surfaces they've touched (e.g., car doors, counters).
- Effect: This removes any latent fingerprints they may have left, preventing identification.
- Risk: Wiping takes time and leaves the suspect vulnerable to being caught "red-handed."
🧪 Chemical Cleanup
- Hydrogen Peroxide: A key item for cleaning up biological evidence.
- Effect: Using Peroxide on a blood pool permanently removes it from the game world.
- Detection: While the blood is gone, a high-level investigator with an Arson/Chemical Scanner may still detect "traces" of the cleaning chemical itself, providing a lead that a cleanup occurred.
🗑️ Evidence Disposal
- Bleach: Used to "clean" clothing that may have blood or gunshot residue on it.
- Destruction: Some evidence items can be destroyed (e.g., burning a discarded mask) if the suspect has access to an ignition source.
