GKS Phone
Kartik MDT V2 works with GKS Phone V2. Reports sent from the phone's services app show up as calls in the MDT dispatch, and citizen profiles show the number of the player's active GKS eSIM.
✅ Setup
There is nothing to install. Start gksphone before the MDT:
ensure gksphone
ensure kartik-mdtWhen the MDT starts you will see [MDT Bridge] Detected Phone: gksphone in the server console.
You do not need to edit any GKS Phone files. The MDT listens to the phone's own gksphone:services:newReport event.
🚨 911 reports in dispatch
When a player sends a report to a job from the GKS Phone services app, the MDT creates a dispatch call for that job:
| Call field | Value |
|---|---|
| Title | Call, or Anonymous Call when the player sent it anonymously |
| Description | The report message |
| Location | Where the player was standing when they sent it |
| Caller | Character name and phone number. Anonymous reports show Anonymous and Private Number |
| Photo | The photo attached to the report, if any |
| Job | The job the report was sent to |
- Only jobs that are set up as a department in the MDT get calls. Reports to other jobs (for example
mechanic) are left to the phone. - The same message from the same player within 5 seconds is only sent once.
- The call goes to on-duty units of that department, the same way as
/911calls.
Options
In shared/config_dispatch.lua:
| Option | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
Config.PhoneReportsToDispatch | true | Set to false to stop GKS Phone reports from creating MDT calls |
Config.UseInbuiltDispatch | true | When false, the MDT dispatch is off, so phone reports are not sent either |
📇 Phone numbers
Citizen profiles and search results use the number of the player's active GKS eSIM. For online players the number comes straight from the phone. For offline players it is read from the GKS Phone database. If no GKS number is found, the framework phone number is used.
👮 Police Job: department open / closed
If you also use Kartik Police Job, it can open a department in the GKS Phone services app only while at least one officer of that department is on duty, and close it when the last one goes off duty or leaves. Turn it on in kartik-policejob/shared/config.lua:
Config.GksphoneJobStatus = trueIt is off by default, so GKS Phone keeps its own job status settings unless you turn it on. See the Police Job configuration.
