Breathalyzer
The Digital Breathalyzer is a field-portable device used by law enforcement to measure a suspect's Blood Alcohol Content (BAC).
🛠️ How to Use
- Have the
breathalyzeritem in your inventory. - Approach a suspect and use the item.
- A professional animation will play as the officer holds the device up to the subject's mouth.
- The subject receives a prompt to "Breathe into the device."
📟 Result Interpretation
Results are color-coded for quick field assessment:
- 🟢 Sober (< 0.05%): No legal impairment detected.
- 🟡 Buzzed (0.05% - 0.08%): Impairment detected; potential grounds for warning or closer observation.
- 🔴 Intoxicated (> 0.08%): Over the legal limit; grounds for DUI arrest.
🔬 Technical Accuracy
- Granular Tracking: The breathalyzer doesn't just give a random number; it reads the cumulative "Alcohol Entries" in the player's system.
- Decay Awareness: If a suspect just drank, the reading will be high. If they drank 20 minutes ago, the reading will reflect the natural decay of alcohol in their system.
📄 Documentation
Breathalyzer results can be logged directly into a traffic or incident report within the Forensic Tablet for use as evidence in court.
